Landi Bench at Blechexpo 2025

The Landi Bench, displayed at Blechexpo 2025, is more than a design classic from BURRI, it’s a concrete example of how ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products’ XCarb® precision steel tubes contribute to reducing the carbon footprint across the entire supply chain.

From the production of recycled and renewably produced steel in Altensteig, to tube manufacturing, and onward to the Kindlimann warehouse delivering the finished bench to the end customer, every step reflects a commitment to sustainability.

• Dimensions: L=2400 mm, B=800 mm, H=900 mm
• Materials: Sustainable Swiss wood + 32 x 2 mm welded precision steel tubes, hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection (13 kg of steel, roughly the weight of two office chairs)

Adrian Alecu, Managing Director at ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Altensteig, explains in an interview with Arne Lagner, Head of Communications Germany, that the Landi Bench is an “excellent example of supply chain collaboration and sustainability in practice,” illustrating how XCarb® precision tubes deliver high-quality solutions while reducing CO₂ emissions by 72% compared to conventional steel.
